A big feature of the new delux box designs is a large eye set onto the lid, and the turn stones are still a useful and enjoyable element that can be included in the game. So where do I get them from? They’re just random rocks I find when I’m out. Beaches, driveways, cafes, forests, ect.

Why?
They’re the most ethically sourced, and I feel they give each box a unique characteristic. They’re great to hold and come in loads of weird shapes and fun sensory experiences, often with holes all the way through. Some of them are precious gems like quartz, and some are just precious.
I’m a big rock fan.
Plus I’m causing the least amount of carbon footprint by getting them from places I’ve walked to or would be at anyway, without any shipping, mining, or processing. And it helps that they’re free since I make all of this on an extremely low income. Trying to make intricate crafts that are budget accessible is hard work, and I resent paying for things when I can literally find them anywhere.
But are they clean?
💯. I wash them all in anti bac soap before use and use a sealant on them after painting, they’re totally clean. My OCD demands it.
